The service
Variantly is a Shopify app that runs A/B tests on your storefront: content, sections, product images and prices. Using it requires a Shopify store and acceptance of Shopify’s own terms.
Billing
Plans, trials, upgrades, downgrades and cancellation are all handled by Shopify through its app billing system, on your regular Shopify invoice. We never see or store your card details. The Free plan is free indefinitely; limits for each plan are published on the pricing page.
Fair use
Plans described as unlimited are subject to fair use: normal testing on a single store. Hitting a plan limit never stops a running test or affects your shoppers; it only pauses launching new tests.
Your responsibilities
- You choose what to test, including the prices a price test may offer, and you are responsible for those choices complying with the laws that apply to your store.
- You will not use Variantly to mislead shoppers or to interfere with another person’s store or data.
What we promise, and what we do not
We work to keep Variantly accurate, honest and available, and verdicts are reported with their real uncertainty. We do not promise that any test will produce an uplift; testing tells you what is true, not what you hope. The service is provided as is, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before a claim.
Ending things
You can uninstall at any time from your Shopify admin, which stops billing through Shopify and triggers deletion of your store’s data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend the service for abuse of these terms.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the date above changes with them, and continued use after a change means acceptance.
